CHARITY PROJECT

Dino Ferrari Foundation

The organizers of the ROYAL GOLF SILVER TROPHY – VICEVERSA Challenge care about initiatives with charitable aim.
The media coverage ongoing during the days of the event will enable a series of moments of reflection on clinical and scientific medical research.
The objective is to collect funds to benefit the Fondazione Legato Dino Ferrari, Sezione “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” of Modena, which for the past twenty-five years has been engaged in supporting research into the treatment of Muscular Dystrophy.

The “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” section of the Italian Union for Research into Muscular Dystrophy (U.I.L.D.M), founded by Enzo Ferrari and by initiative of patients and their families, officially commenced activity in Modena in 1981 and thereafter became a point of reference for the fight against Muscular Dystrophy and for the social integration of the disabled.
Thanks to support from the Fondazione Legato Dino Ferrari, to the solidarity and contributions from individual and collective elements, both public and private, it now stands as a real point of reference for many persons, whether dystrophic or not. The Fondazione Legato Dino Ferrari was originally set up by Enzo Ferrari in memory of his son Dino who died in 1956 of a serious form of muscular dystrophy.
As a charitable body, its aim is to promote research into the diagnosis and genetics of muscular dystrophy and to support initiatives for assistance to persons suffering from this disease.
